ED MARSHALL

Ed Marshall is a renaissance professional. In less than two decades, he has combined television journalism, corporate finance, media training, corporate image building, public relations and public speaking into an international business with offices in New Orleans, Atlanta and the Caribbean Island of St. Martin.Marshall is President and CEO of Ed Marshall & Associates (EMA). He also owns and hosts a financial television talk show "Money Talks with Ed Marshall" with a viewership of 1.5 million in Louisiana and Southern Mississippi.2 POLITICAL RELATIONSHIPSMarshalls journalism and financial background has garnered him numerous leadership appointments and awards. Building coalition teams between the private and public sectors to improve communities and the lives of residents across Louisiana is one of his strong suits. His reputation as being fair and impartial, has led to his working as a community advisor to lawmakers in the City of New Orleans, the State and Washington D.C. In a first for the state of Louisiana, Marshall was personally requested by former Governor Charles Buddy Roemer to host a live statewide television talk show as he fielded questions from Louisiana residents. 3FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGEAfter leaving television news and prior to opening EMA, Marshall was a senior vice president and director of corporate and community relations at First Commerce Corporation which later merged with J.P. Morgan, formerly Bank One, Louisiana. He managed a $4million budget, sat at the helm of the bank's corporate strategy table and managed all external media/community relations in the New Orleans region. Marshall was also the editorial and speech writer for the corporations president and chief executive officer.4 Community And PurposeMarshall serves as a trustee for the L.S.U. Medical Foundation, N.O. region's Delgado Community College Foundation, the Neighborhood Development Housing Foundation, Orleans/Jefferson parish Gun Buy Back Program, and Crime stoppers.Marshall is a life member of the countrys oldest predominately African American Fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha. He is a member of the fraternitys national cabinetserving as the national public relations director under the leadership of Alpha Phi Alpha General President Herman Skip Mason.5EDUCATION A magna cum laude journalism graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, Marshall is also an alumnus and Fellow of Harvard Business School in Boston, MA.6PERSONAL Marshall is a published author having sold more than 30,000 copies of his first book of poetry nationwide. REVEREND TONY Reverend Tony is owner of the French Quarter Wedding Chapel and involved in the wedding industry in the state of Louisiana. He has been a resident of New Orleans since 1999 when he and his wife moved here from Pennsylvania. Rev. Tony is originally from California. He resides in the French Quarter and enjoys social work helping people with medical concerns. He has promoted organ transplantation and has passed out over ½ million organ and tissue donor cards while promoting awareness programs following a transplant in 1989. His second transplant came in October of 2003 when his wife donated a kidney to him. He hopes to increase the wedding industry to Louisiana through networking with the city and state. He has recently co-founded the Louisiana wedding association.
